Are these two Bill switches alike or very different
I know one is an individual trick and one is a video, but I saw the demo for both of them and I'm not sure if there is a difference between them. |

They are quite different, in fact, they don't even use the same gimmick!
While I am aware that the second change in CREAM is similar to the change in Visi-Bill, I assure you the methods are different. Sean |

I have Visibill, I don't like it because of its method. I'm not 100% positive on how CREAM works, but I am pretty sure I know how it works, which means I've seen too many bill switches. To be honest, a bill switch is a bill switch, most of the time the audience doesn't know what to expect until it is too late. I give Hundy 500 and Slow Burn a 10/10. I give CREAM a 7/10 and Visibill a 4/10. To give a comparison, I give the original bill switch a 5/10. Sorry Sean, but Greg and Richard still have me won over with their handlings of their switches.

I too think I know the gimick involved with CREAM, and I think the only advantage is being able to say that you don't use a thumbtip and for showing other magicians.
The actual bill change part is pretty good, but I'd rather just use a thumbtip than CREAM's gimick. Like Alex said, most audiences won't know what to look for until its too late, all they know about is the emotional impact of changing money. 10 minutes later they won't remember any of the handling, as long as it is convincing. |

Alex, Richard Sanders put out both Visibill and Slow Burn. So I'll assume you comment regarding his handling is for Slow Burn and not Visibill?
Cheers,

Yes, Slowburn is good, and Visibill is not.

Zednanreh, no need to apologize. 7/10 is still a good review, even WITHOUT owning the effect yet! ;-)
I am fully aware of the number of bill switches out there. There are enough, indeed, for a GIANT book to be put out on the bill switch. CREAM is my approach to the plot. Like all effects, it won't be for everyone. The reason it is being released is because it KILLS! It looks, and FEELS different than the other switches. I was greatly honored when the money man himself, Reed McClintock said "I really think you will please the magic community with this one. The best bill switch I have seen to date." I was equally honored when Peter Loughran said "A bill switch doesn't get any cleaner or more visual than CREAM-and this is exactly what they will do after they see this incredible visual bill change. This is good." In fact, Peter was also kind enough to write the foreword for CREAM. He, like Reed, Scott Guinn, Corey King, Tim Trono, among others, were impressed enough as to have their names associated with this effect. If it is not your style, it is not your style, and I respect that. I do, however, believe that CREAM is an absolutely stunning rendition of this now classic effect. The mechanics of the change are also good for other things, such as a billet switch for a mentalism routine. All I can say, is there is really not a change like this in existence. There are some with similar properties and ideas, but CREAM really is radically different from the norm. Sean |

After rewatching the video, I bump Cream upto 8/10....in the process, I thought of an 'idea' for a bill switch, but I dare not 'market' it because there are enough out there now.

LOL! Phanthomas, Hypno-Bill won't be forgotten, it is too good to be forgotten.
Alex, thanks for the bump in your initial grade, much appreciated! I know how you feel, I almost didn't release CREAM for that very reason. In the end, I was goaded into letting it go. |
