Jeff Goldblum. Who is currently on the cast of Law and Order Special Victims Unit.
I remember a sketch on Saturday Night Live when Ron Howard was the guest star. The skit had Mayberry going to seed with drugs and prostitution until Opie kicks in the door and holds everyone at bay with an Automatic! Aunt Bee says; "Opie, I thought you died in Vietnam!" OPIE: "No ma'am, that was the Beaver!"
