Artist and magician Tom Crecelius of Nine Dragon Pottery in Indiana
(812-633-7875, http://www.ninedragonpottery.com) designs and hand produces one-of-a-kind Lota Bowls that are not only very magical and whimsical in nature, but allow for almost a dozen “pours” issuing from a deceptively small and well shaped vessel. Should you decide to perform "Jack O’Shea and the Fairies" (in my new book) I highly recommend that you contact Tom for the perfect prop, and own a true artifact you’ll be proud to use on stage. If you’re in the U.K. Martin Duffy makes a wonderful Lota as well, I believe his are now sold through Martin Breese’s Abracadabra shop. Magically, Walt |

I'm glad you guys brought up the lotta bowl/pot/cup/duhicky. For my show I'm working on I was going to incorporate a lotta pot because the mines here are very hot due to the hot (ha!) springs and I figured filling metal cups full of water through the show would be good.

Martin duffy has 2 different line of lota pot: One seems antique and the other one has a smooth and glossy (white?)finish, sometimes decorate with a sirens.(miss the picture).

Yes, I have seen that it's a custom vase made on demand.
It's a really nice prop, build with your chosing design, more suited for parlor or stage than the pot from martin duffy/mary tomich. He seems to have lota pot for close up to, more classic with a glossy finish , but I prefer the rough design of the big vase, witch is really a piece of art. |
