I need a trick where 4 different spectators pick a card randomly and when they all turn over their cards, they find they have each picked an ace.
I'm trying to present this at work as part of a Team Building exercise. I haven't perfected my patter yet, but after all the cards are chosen I'll dribble the remainder of the deck and explain how chaotic things get on the job, etc. The four people picking the aces displayed their ability to work as a team, etc .... Can anyone recommend an effect? I tried Mark Wilson's Hindu Ace trick, but that's not quite what I'm looking for. On one of Daryl's DVDs, he performs a trick where the four aces are stacked on the bottom of the deck and glided back. When a person says stop, you pull an in-jogged Ace. That's fine, but I'm having trouble with the mechanics because during practice, everytime I touch an ace, the other two or three aces want to come out with it. I have tried a lighter touch, etc. Any recommendations? |

Hmmmmmmmm....well mys uggestion would be four different forces. I'm also working on an ace routine..........that would be my suggestion. Or you could use that one efect, I forget what it's called, where a spec. cuts the deck four times, adds three cards onto the bottom of each pile, then a card on each pile.......etc......and the four aces turn up on the four piles. I wouldn't prefer that though........lots of dealing and stuff. Look it up on YouTube. Like "Ace Trick" or sumthin.

The easiest way to do this is with a riffle force. Put all four aces on top of the deck, cut the deck but keep a pinky break. Riffle the cards at one corner with your thumb and have the spectator say "stop". Pull the upper half of the deck up with your thumb (everything above the break). Hand him his card. Repeat as necessary.

You could have 4 cards in a face down fan touched and do a "No Lap Switch" which can be found in 'The Complete Works of Derek Dingle".

"Say stop, ok you take one, you take one, you take one, and you take one". If you do some fals shuffles before, it doesn't matter. Don't think like a magician, lay people don't really think of stacking. No need to force 4 times...Like I said, I do this ALL THE TIME, and it kills... if you want to do 4 riffle forces, as long as you are being non challant about it and are not emphasizing the importance of the card being selected, they won't care. Same approach for classic force, 'just say stop, it doesn't really matter which card we use'..after they are selected you can then use a time delay, talk a bit and then do the reveal, they'll forget the fact that you said it doesn't matter. |

You might want to look at Sankey's "sudden aces" it's exactly what you want, have your spectator choose four cards randomly and once you turn them they appear to be all the four aces,I won't be revealing anything further,go to his website and buy it it's only 5$ and DOWNLOADABLE!

Never thought of just dealing off the top four cards after the riffle force. That's brilliant!

I force four cards as part of a routine I commonly perform. I use four different forces. It's personal preference, but I think four forces makes it even more unbelievable. Sure most spectators don't even think of forces, but some do. If some smart-ass is thinking they know how one force was done, there is probably another that they have no clue about.
I stack two cards on the bottom, two on the top. Then do the following forces in this order: classic force, another force*, riffle force, then glide force. I do the classic force first because it's almost impossible to miss with four cards they can choose. If the audience hasn't been playing "catch the magician," I'll sometimes switch out the second force for another classic force. *another force: I don't know the name of it but you pull back cards with your thumb while secretly pulling back the bottom card with your forefinger.

Sankey's "Sudden Aces" is the way. Very nicely done and not hard to pickup. Just did this the other day for some people and it killed!
