Hi,
Some years ago, I used a large brass ring in a ring on stick routine. I would like to expand on this with an Ellis ring. Do you know of any larger Ellis ring available? I find the Johnson's products Ellis rings too small. The rings I used are 43mm (1.7 inches). What is the diameter of the Hexagonal Ellis ring from Kreis Magic? Also, I remember reading about a set of rings composed of: a seamless ring, a sh*** and a keyring. Was it Jay Marshall's "Jinking rings"? Do you know anything about this set? Thanks |

Jay's Jinking Rings were about the same size as the Johnson's. You could contact someone like Joe Porper to custom make what you want. joeporper@hotmail.com

The Hexagonal Ellis ring from Kreis Magic has an inner-diameter of round-about
30 mm (outer diamenter 40 cm). Axel |

Thank you both.
40mm is a good size for me. I may buy an hexagonal ring just to feel the shape in manipulation. On the other hand, Mr. Biro's suggestion is very tempting. A custom ring could offer new possibilities........... hummmmm.... |

It is my understanding that back in the early days, like the 1940's, 50's, or 60's their was an Ellis Ring that was like 3" in size. I have never seen one, but it was mentioned in a book and seen it in a magic catalog.
It is not available currently, so it would have to be specially made just for you by an expert metal craftsman. |
