Come on, Doc.
Be creative!!! Nobody's gonna give you anything great. You know that. You're gonna get over-used junk that's been around for decades. You're gonna get the ones that everyone else discards. The best ones they always keep for themselves. Be creative!!! Be a pro!

This is what I like, a frank answer. Sadly I don't see it enough with all the questions bandied about as to the best illusion, what should I perform at my first kid's show this weekend, what color silk is best for silk to egg. Very insightful.

It sounds like a good excuse to do some topical stuff. I know it has a short shelf life but audiences are usually impressed when you mention recent events. A quick scan of the news websites daily might help you find some quirky stories plus topical stuff you can put your own unique spin on.
Genuine ads on sites such as craigslist can be quite amusing, too. |

Those add up to a lot of threads on those subjects you describe. To some it looks like "magicians helping magicians" and to others it just looks ....sad. I can't say I've never been a part of it but I try to avoid them like the plague. As far as Gorges's idea of classifieds, etc.... I believe leno and letterman do this regularly? Must be a good idea.

I figure there has to be some great Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber gags waiting to be put into headline form.

All I can say s Wow. The google images were a great help.
So, let's assume every magician uses the same 10 headlines in their act. What can/would you do to make those 10 presented better than everyone else does?
