I want to be able to show "one quarter" to a spectator, with one sides as head and the other side as tails. I want this coin to actually be a gimmicked coin which is IN REALITY two shells that are attracted magnetically, one with heads and the other with tails. I'd like to be able to simply glide my fingers to be able to take the gimmick apart at which point it would actually be two completely independent and separate shells. WHAT IS THIS GIMMICK CALLED?

I have never seen this. Do you really mean two shells? With coins inside each shell or not?
Thanks! Jim |

No coins inside at all...just two shells attracted to each other magnetically that together make it seem like a regular quarter. I'd like to buy this, but just have no clue what this would be called. Thanks, guys.

A T.U.C. could do that too.

For reals, Jazzy Snazzy? Do I need to buy 2 TUC packages then? Or if I buy one TUC quarter, it will do what I am seeking? Thanks!

I've never seen a gaff like this.
There is the split coin, but it is not shells. There is the TUC, but it is not two shells. If there was such a gaff, the shells would be so shallow that they wouldn't be much good as a shell, or the original coin would be way too thick. Good luck! Sammy

The Half Dollar thru dollar bill is similar to what you discribe. Are you wanting the trick in Quarter size? I don't think it made in Quarter size.
Half Dollar placed on dollar bill. The bill is shown on both sides and the Half Dollar is shown to have only penetrated half way thru the bill. The Half Dollar is removed from the bill. |

Half dollar would work for me also. I'm wondering, can I hand out a split coin for casual examination BEFORE I start my routine??? Or is it just way too obvious to the person handling it, even if done before the routine begins?

You can hand out a CS coin for examination if you're:
a. Really confident and can misdirect even while they look at it b. Able to hand out a coin and switch to the coin you need when you get it back c. Presenting to really near sighted individuals Just sayin' |

I would not hand either out to a spectator. Why are you wanting to do this?
