Hi, I apologize if this has been posted before and I've searched the Café as well as the WWW. for the title of this packet trick. The effect is you have a small packet of cards, You ask a spectator to choose one, but you tell them whatever is on the other side of the card you choose, I am going to do to you. The card reads "Be Nice", so you compliment your spectator on whatever (their hair, clothes etc.) on the back of all the other cards read 'Kill."
Anyone know what the title is? Thanks in advance, Joe

Hi Joe,
It sounds like "Dice Man" by Andy Nyman. I remember seeing a demo of it here on Penguin's site: http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=S4775 And here's a youtube demo of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9use2KrDPE0 I hope that helps! |

Digitaltripm, that's IT! Thanks so much.
I'm not big on buying packet tricks (unless its a John Bannon packet trick). But, A few months ago Denny (of Denny & Lee's) showed this to me. At the time I thought it was a nice trick, but it has stuck in my head all this time. I woke up this morning and decided I needed to track it down. So thanks again. Joe

Hello Joe and digitaltrip,
I've checked this packet trick out, based on this thread. I think it's pretty cool. I'll be picking it up at the Magic Warehouse. I saw somewhere that there is also an Al Capone patter presentation that goes along with it. I think I'll try that one out, for Halloween. Joe-Thanks for bringing this item up. digitaltrip- Thanks for sussing it out. Jim |

Be aware too that you can use the concept Andy uses for this effect and make your own cards for a different "message" or "theme". I know some folks don't like the "KILL"/"Be Nice" verbage and tailor the trick to what works for them.
I have this and it's fun to do with the right audience and allows for some of your own creativity in presentation. The cards are well made, come in a nice holder, etc. so it's made to last. |
