I figured this would be a great way to get some exposure to Marlo. For some reason "..in Spades" escaped my mind at the magic store this afternoon. Great to have all those booklets under one cover. What are your opinions..if any?

The re-printing of RCT as with the original booklets is a great buy. Lot's or good material in chapters pertaining to sleights. Seconds, Centers, Bottoms is still one of the best books on false deals ever written.
Eventually get the spades book. The Spade book was way ahead of its time back in the late 40's.

Marlo gives you so much good material packed in this volume that it should be a must for every cardworker.

I have done the card change/switch in the first chapter that uses a paperclip. I have fooled a lot of folks with this one. This book is great for the cardworker, even if the're not a Marlo fan, IMHO.

This is simply a wonderful resource for card sleights. I just got my copy a few weeks back, and I was totally thrilled. I'm slowly working my way through the book. My favourite chapters are the ones on false deals, multiple shifts and side steals.

Hey,
I've heard great things about Marlo and RCT. I was wondering, how advanced should a cardworker be to fully appreciate RCT? If I have fully worked through Royal Road, would I find RCT useful? Thanks a lot for any insight |

The book is designed to raise the level of cardicians and so the material in the book are quite advanced and need continous practice to make perfect. I find the book a marvellous addition to my library.

I've looked through this book, and am quite literally stunned at what is contained in there.
It's not an easy read, and I wish that the book would stay open when lying flat. All that aside, it's one book I thoroughly enjoy. David. |
