Just curious if it thickens the overall...........
I noticed a change in thickness when using the screen protector from my mobile phone.

I just tried regular 3M packing tape, along with a little Carmex chap stick for slickness...slides like a DREAMMMM

Mouse tape is most definitely NOT thicker than packing tape. It is much thinner. Mouse tape is about the same thickness as the Teflon discs sold by Tango. You can buy the mouse tape in various widths and it comes in 8.5" lengths. Last time I purchased some was back in March 2012 and the 1.5" x 8.5" strips were $3.55 USD. Well worth the price IMO!

Personally, I found mouse tape, and screen protectors to be inadequate, both way to thick, and very noisy.
The avery clear address labels work way better, they are thinner, super quiet, and smooth, plus no lube is needed and they are way cheaper than mouse tape, teflon, etc... mo |

I cant believe nobody has mentioned good old fashon Duct Tape. As a true American I know one truth to be self evident - Duct Tape is the answer to everything.

I just put some mouse tape on my new Double Face STC - just on one for now. Works great as far as the separation goes; you almost cannot separate them as they come. Only problem is that the mouse tape isn't completely transparent, and since you show the back side of the Double Facers, it looks kinda faded. Is there anything like mouse tape that is completely transparent?
BTW, Tango's Teflon disks are also translucent rather than transparent, so that isn't an option either. Thanks! Jim |

I got some mouse tape. It worked great! I placed packing tape on one and mouse tape on 2...slides like a dream!
