Your war-on-terror dollars at work:
A dance troupe from Florida caused a terror scare in New York City after leaving their cars in the Lincoln Tunnel and running to make a TV appearance in Manhattan. More here.

Yea, I forgot that the authorities are supposed to have ESP, and on top of that just let things go rather than err on the side of caution.
Geez.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Idiots. The dancers not the authorities. They jumped out of cars and left them in a tunnel and were dressed in cammies? Sounds like it was resolved quickly and the police went beyond the call of duty. No where would there have been a different type of reaction.....

I agree with Santa. When I first read this I said so? What did they expect? I have a feeling the dance group new they were going to be too late no mater what. But to get some attention and maybe some sympathy plus maybe time on the Today Show, Good Morning America. To tell there story of how they had been mistreated. They knew good and well what they were doing was wrong.

What kind of inconsiderate, entitled clown abandons their car in the Lincoln tunnel?
Only-neurosurgeon-who-can-perform-surgery-patient-will-die-in-15 minutes - maybe justifiable. Running late for a TV audition? Nope.

So to speak...They were just chasing their dreams.
How many pursue their dreams with such passion? Sometimes success calls for taking extraordinary measures. Peace.

And sometimes stupidity calls for the police and other agencies to get involved.

And the police helped them get to TV studio.
We've all done stupid things in our youth. Peace.

"That excuses what the troupe did how?" Nope. However, "Odom said she learned a valuable lesson." "There are a lot of fumes in that tunnel, and we could have passed out or gotten hit by a car," she said. "The next time we come here, we'll stay in our cars."

Gee, a bit bitter about doing an act in Afghanistan are you? Did you get shanghied?
The police figured out they were just morons from Jax and let them go. The reason was most likely they cooperated with the police rather than argued with them like some do (ha!). They were foolish and ignorant to do what they did. They lacked planning, they left 24 hours earlier for this all important show? Tough, the producers didn't even care about their story. |

If you want the truth mystic. Sure I did kid things but nothing to get in trouble from the the police over. I didn't even think or attempt of shoplifting. I have never ever taken any illegal drugs. Have never driven while intoxicated. I've never broken out anyone's window. Am I perfect no. But I can tell when something like this was not just an "accident" It wasn't an honest mistake. There is no way in the world that they didn't know they would cause a scene by doing this.
Something tells me that won't be your last comment on this thread either. |

Gee, I was a Beirut vet and an expert at logistics. Maybe you should go answer the generals phone and stop working on your act. One thing, don't leave a box in front of his office as you rush to perform crazy mans handcuffs, they may not accept the 'working on a dream' excuse.
