Costco (east coast) has a brick of Bikes on sale for 10 bucks. That's 83 cents a deck. I could only afford 6 bricks at the moment. If you do a lot of signed card routines like I do, you can't pass this up. Get em while they last!

Mark Striving has a great mental effect, but it takes 9 decks of cards to construct, NOW I CAN MAKE ONE! Thanks to both you and Costco.

The Mark Strivings thing was from some lecture notes I picked up for him in 2007 (I Think) at MindVention. I have been trying to find the material in my mysterious filing system ever sense I found a supply for cards - I believe it was a "para optic" style revelation. I'll be looking around some more for it

Alright let me get this out of my head, I dug through all my old notes and can now answer Christopher Lyle's question regarding which Mark Strivings effect uses 9 decks of cards - it can be found in the mini-lectures notes from MindVention 2008 by Mark Strivings and called "Par-optic Plus", here is a quote from the introduction: "This effect is not in print in any of my books. I have sold it as a marketed item for several years. I showed this to the late Bascom Jones (publisher of Magick) who immediately expressed great admiration for the concept. He wanted to run it in the magazine, but, unfortunately passed away before it was in print." The effect is based on Theo Annemann work in the 1935 Summer Extra of Jinx called Para-Optic Vision. I am sure that contacting Mark could lead to a copy of the material. A very performable piece. Now to really mess with your mind - in his same set of notes is an effect requiring 14 decks of cards.... think about that for a while!

Yet here in the UK we are still ripped off to the tune of £21.80 for a brick of Bikes!
That about $35 or more! And £1.99 a deck. (About $3.50)!!!

What I don't like about the Costco decks is that they are the new "Standard" deck, with the newly designed box. Some day I will have to start getting them, but thankfully a couple of months ago on the "Tricks for Sale" thread someone listed 30 "Poker 808" red decks for sale. I bought them. Should last a while.

A trick requiring 14 decks of cards?!
How do you get them to the table? That's some pocket management!

There isn't a Costco near me and so with petrol at the price it is, it wouldn't work out cheaper.
As well as all the mess of getting a card and proving all that they want.
