So I figure I just post here and not make a new topic but I have a story to tell that happened about 2 hours ago. So I am in this free poker league that I tend to go to when I have nothing to do. And at this league, players win gift cards to the vendor that is holding the festivities. I thought it would be a great idea to do a cold deck switch with a duplicate copag plastic playing cards. Being that they use two decks in a leap frog fashion and my partner was on my right shading the only visible angle from under the table, I indeed switched the decks. A miracle happened next. The man running the tournament called for a 15 minute break. With the new deck on the table I kind of just hung around the table to make sure no one messed with the cards. The director of the tournament colored up everyone and everything seemed normal. Excited to get this hand going, after the break, I dealt out the cards.
One of the players goes "ooOOOohhh new cards". Suddenly, my face went blank while my stomach turned in disgust. I never felt that nervous in my life. The mistake I made is something that I would never forget. Oh, indeed it was a rookie mistake. The cards were the same, absolutely. However, the indexes were smaller. I could have actually pooped my pants at that giving moment. Thank god these weren't harden poker players rather the occasional gambler. It seemed like the table accepted the idea that the director changed the cards for some reason. Luckily, due to the cold deck, some of the players got knocked out of the tournament and my partner took down the pot. The director decided to move the remaining players from our table to the last table left. Of course, in the process of moving things around I switched the decks back. That's the last time I ever do that. |

The stories are starting to sound somewhat fabricated blackeagle.
The thing is, even if they're true, the "negative" vibe you've got going in here in the forum (in terms of the increasing numbers of those here who don't believe you) render the stories difficult to enjoy. Personally, I don't know what to make of your stories..........but I can tell you that you really don't need one after the other of them in order to kick around the forum. Putting your 2 cents in once and a while on a given topic (as we all do) is the only required task here in the forum. You've stuck your foot in it at least a half a dozen times in recent posts.........When you get called on it, and with a few hours to think about it, you always manage to come up with an answer............BUT, some of the answers you've come up with have been getting pretty fricking skanky lately Have a Happy New Year regardless blackeagle! |

A cold deck in a tournament? A league not using their own decks with their own logo on the back? No random seats (how can you be sure your mate will be at your table and at your right)? Etc.
Man, I'm probably the only one here who gave you some credit, but you're now pretty ridiculous telling stories like that. |

Old friend told me story about his cold deck few years ago. He told me that every time he played with cheaters he used cold deck in the middle of the game...I didn't know that Cold Deck was name of his gun!

As far as I know there is just one Copag deck that is "yellow", the Centennial "Edition" (which is gold). Not very cheap, nor easy to find. I strongly doubt they use such a deck in a Poker league.
Maybe there is another Copag I don't know. I'd like you to show me because I'm very interested about Copag. |
