I used to use El Warpo sometimes RT, about 20 years ago. It originally appeared in The Close up Entertainer, but was way ahead of its time. I think it would play better now with the younger crowd than it did then.

Due to some of the unnatural handling of the original effect, I found that some people simply didn't like the way it looked as much as it ideally was intended. I tried altering the effect a bit to fit my own preferences, and it does get a few good reactions from people these days. I think it's more of a presentational piece than an actual visual display. I personally enjoy it a lot. Paul Harris has a lot of material like this-- highly innovative thinking.

Another BRILLIANT and little known variation of Roy Walton´s CARD WARP is "THE CONTORTIONIST" of Michael Giles.
In this version the cards (ONLY TWO) initially are NOT folded... In this incredible effect the top of the one card not only INVERTS, but also it is broken up in visual ZIG-ZAG!!! INCREDIBLE! It look crazy! KARDINI Brazil

Cervon's presentation is the strongest I've witnessed. One might wish to shorten the Cervon routine a bit contingent on your style of working, but Bruce absolutely wrings every ounce of magic out of the effect. Bruce destroys people with it, and certainly had me wondering how his shows could look "THAT" good.
