Hi all,
I remember years ago I had bookmarked a fun flash app on my internet explorer called ipolygraph. If the name doesn't reminded you, it's from the same guy who invented the bondoogle flash page ( here's the link: http://www.krazydad.com/ipolygraph/secret.php Now that iphone is out for so long, I thought such an idea would have turned into an app already? the act of determining the act of lie based on the drawing of a circle using a mouse....that's gonna play so much better on an iphone (direct use of touch) This would be great piece of fun, and ideas for manually programming outs for users (hence not limited to cards). Ideas for any developers? Or is the app out already? |

I think it's a good idea... I also think the bondoogle page would be great as an app. I have used an HTC desire and a nokia n900 (which work with the page) so that I can use the bondoogle page as a way of googling a card that I'm unable to read from a spectators mind. I put the phone in their hands and ask them to think of their card while google searches for it. Awesome reactions every time. Iphone users are missing out on a great trick so why hasn't someone developed the app??

Alan Rorrison did develop an app that is based on Boondoggle: http://www.lybrary.com/google-effect-iphones-p-48759.html
I think the lie detector would make a great magic app. I don't have the skills to build it, though. Joe L.

I have recently developed a somewhat unusual magic effect that I offer to the community for free: this is another technological effect, yet it uses no special apps as such, only a computer and the eponymous search engine. It is based on a strange little trick I have been doing via email for a few years, but transposed onto the Web and made (hopefully) more user-friendly. This current version has similarities to Bondoogle insofar as the initial conditions are similar, but the effect is different and kind of weird
There are language prerequisites for the effect to work "out of the box", namely the effect requires use of the English language, though it could actually be tweaked for other languages. Although it is absolutely free of charge, I do ask that you email me at gerardgrey59@googlemail.com, with subject line "Google effect", for details. Your email address is safe with me and you will not receive spam, or for that matter, bacn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacn) from me, only the effect in question. A phone-friendly version (formatting-wise) is in the pipeline.
