What makes you so sure you will see him?

Call it faith.

Indeed. The exact same faith that muslims, mormons, hindus, etc. have that they will utlimately be united with their Gods.

Could be.

Are you taking this somewhere?

Which doesn't mean that their fates will necessarily be identical. If you have a group of 38 people taking each number on a roulette wheel, their faiths may be "the exact same," but their fates won't.

Or we could have them only take 1-20, and recognize the possibility that they might all be wrong; regardless, the fact that they're in similar boats doesn't mean that they're in the same boat.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

I'm just agreeing with you and pointing out that as sure as you are of your God, so are others of their God. Faith is the key word.

Understood. But each one truly believes they are in the right boat and that all the other boats will sink.

The point is, no matter what, Pascal's Wager is a blatantly false dichotomy.

When I see Pascal, I'll mention that to him.

Pascal's wager is a fine example of leverage - or in the phrasing attributed to Archimedes:

Give me an icon sufficiently bright, and a fear sufficiently primal to use as a fulcrum, and I can use rhetoric (words alone) to have people do what they want to believe they would not.

What else do you have?
