It is in Tarbell as Kozic said. The instructions is a no-brainer and you don't need a video just a helper. LOL

Alright thanks guys... Is it actually worth performing? is it a good sucker trick?

You guys ar correct, it is in Mark Wilson's book!
I have performed this maybe 3 or 4 times years ago. I had a very good reaction when I did it. I quit doing it because I am a one person show. I just happen to have someone that helped me back then. I won't call it a sucker truck really. More of a switch-a-roo type of routine. After reading the URL provided in the first post, I don't think that I would spend that $$$$ on this routine. I would buy Mark Wilson's book and go from there! Best Ray |

I had a friend at work make the clothing (really just modified ponchos) and I purchased some cheap hallowen mansks. All being said I spent less than 100.00 bucks and have an effect that really plays well. Just make sure that you have a backstage assistant who completely understands whats supposed to happen backstage and have your volunteers all about the same height...shoes should not be visible beneath the ponchos!!
When the conditions exist to use this in my act,I ALWAYS perform it.It plays well in the middle of an act and can kill 15 minutes easily...and,by the way, leaves people truly mystified. |

Mark Wilsons book is available on Amazon.co.uk at an incredible price of only £9.74 ... that's about $16.
And I too would love to see a demo of this routine. |

...and for those who like to make notes in their books, try Ebay for a used one. Best bargain since the AeroPress.

Abbott Magic has been selling this for years, it is an excellent trick, but as noted above, you need someone to help off stage.
Abbott's makes this, but they only provide huge pillow cases for the costumes. They are not anything near the drawing in the 2 books mentioned. They do provide the masks with cloth material attached to cover the back of head. I will say, Mark Wilson's idea is the best and looks very cute for the illusion. This design would also assist in the off stage work required to performe this quickly off stage. The instructions that Abbott's sells is for the working only, it does not include pictures or how to construct a nice looking outfit. The Mark Wilson book is very inexpensive, and a great buy. |
