Here's a video where I perform such a technique. Actually it was shot during a session with Maitre D who dared to challenge me on his video forum . The point is to get 2 nice cards (10 to Ace) in 3-5 riffles out of a truly shuffled deck. 4th player out of 7 receives the 2 cards.
It's a very basic way to stack on the fly. Don't try to look at it as a wonderful tool. In actuality, I use a very different method for true play, but, well, it was the opportunity to show you the principle. http://www.arnoldmcdonald.org/code/main.php?p=6200000 100 downloads allowed. Bravo! Is this the same technique you showed me in our little session a while back.
Either way, good work |

Looks really nice! Although we can't see your eyes (for obvious reasons), and it would probably be a too huge tell to risk using this technique in an other scenario than a magic trick or a gambling exposé.
But again, really nice card feat. |

On that video the technique used is of course peeking. I also prestack the cards while I bring them to the top. Otherwise it would be tough to stack 2 (or even 3 cards) in 3 or 4 riffles.
Blackeagle, No this video shows a basic technique, it's not the one I showed you once. Kirjava, No, it's not a tell to look at the deck once in a while. Every dealer does that. First it helps to secure the shuffle, to be sure not a card is gonna bother you. sliding, etc. Second, there are a plenty of techniques to do that. Peripheral vision just to name one. Third, looking at your hands is one thing, staring at the deck is another one! It takes a split second to do it man, trust me, you don't have to stare at the deck like an hawk. Last, I practise it and do it for ages. In real games. I've never been caught so far. Another point, what you see here is not the technique I use for real, which is much more deceiving. I'm gonna tell you what *ME* I'd find suspicious. Someone never looking at the deck while shuffling . Thanks for your comments. |

Then, I don't know why you bother to learn a more advanced technique, this one already looks natural!

I liked this performance,
This approach appears natural, because this method does not use a real game? What are the disadvantages? |

I bother to learn other techniques because games are not always the same nor the players around the table and contexts pretty often different. Light, cards, table size and height, etc.
Sometimes you can cull the cards from the discard, sometimes you can peek them while washing shuffle them, sometimes you need to cull them during the shuffle and sometimes you just can't move! Magic and true play are a bit different. |

Unfortunately I've got professional problems to solve at the moment, I haven't got my brain cells connected to the booklet. But don't worry, it will be done, I always do what I say. I think 33% is already finished anyway.
Sorry for the delay. |
