I purchased this packet trick at Tannen's back in the 80's. I still have the cards but lost the instructions, and am wondering what it's called and who's the inventor.
Basically it's a Twisting The Aces effect where each Ace turns faced up and then all 4 Aces changes its back color from blue to red and the kicker is all 4 Aces turn to a mirrored back which can be handed out and examined by the spectators. Anyone knows its name? |

This sounds like a variation of Dazzling backflips......put out by the late Neil Lester of Cards by Martin.....

I cannot remember the effect's name although I used to demonstrate when working in some shops. However, if you have the L&L published Ken Brooke's Magic Place, you will find an effect called "Another Bloomin' Trick". It is the same effect except the backs of the cards are different patterns. The mirroring of course is easy to achieve.

Meir Yedid had a trick using 4 cards where they end up having mirrors at the end. Not sure if this is it.

Flipped Out Fours by Emerson/West?
"Classic trick where are set of 4's reverse inside the packet each time with a different color back and then all backs are shown as mirrors as the climax." |

They turn over one-by-one, showing RED backs. The cards are counted out, showing three BLUE backs. One card remains and it is RED backes. The RED backed card is laid on the table. It is shown to have changed to a BLUE backed card, while the other 3 cards have changed to RED backs. The card is inserted into the packet and the cards are immediately counted out to show 4 MIRRORED backs. The cards are now turned over and counted to show that the faces are all alike!
