Hello everyone,
I'am looking for a "end of the show prediction"effect, which product do you advice to achieve it? Prediction envelope, box or etc.. contains some of the information during the show exist. Sorry for my bad english grammar again Thank you. Ýlkay. |

Other posters with far far more experience will undoubtedly give great advice, but as no one has yet, I will chime in:
This is impossible to answer effectively without knowing much more about your show and your persona; your climactic effect must flow from what has led to it. In that sense, no one can tell you what product to use until you define what effect you wish to achieve (and in this context, "effect" means more than a clinical description of what the audience perceives). On the other hand, if your persona and show are well defined, the product is immaterial; you can work with nearly anything if you mold it to your style. |

Thank you garrette for advices that provides me to explain what kind of effect that I want to achieve.
I am doing mentalism shows but my concept does not based on the supernatural powers. I love james randi and his style, thus I am telling to the audience these effects are all based on some psychological tricks, sleight of hand, cold reading, psychological forces and most importantly LIES I say them: Never trust psychics including ME My show lasts about 50 minutes and I want to show to audience a prediction envelope, box or something else that is always on the stage from the beginning of the show, and when I or a spectator open it we see a prediction paper that contains some of the information about the things that happened in that show. I hope I can explain what I am doing and what I am looking for Thanks. Ýlkay. |

Is your primary purpose education or entertainment?

Primary one is entertainment, because of pseudo-explanation for effects it is not a true education but at least it can be reduce frauds in minor amounts.

Okay. My last post for a while as I've other plans today.
I still think there is far too little information to help you out. Or more accurately, I think you are asking the question backwards. What feeling, impression, emotion, or what have you, do you want the audience to leave with? Once that is defined, then the rest of your show should build up to that. Assuming that it does, then the effect you end with will nearly define itself, and the particular method or marketed trick will be ancillary. But since you seem intent on asking the specific question, and since you have partly answered my question about what you want them to leave with, I would start by looking at Devin Knight's Glass Box prediction. You may not end up using it, but in the realm of demonstrating that the seemingly impossible is actually possible, it should give you some ideas. Again, I caveat with the disclaimer that there are others far more experienced and knowledgeable than I am, so if they come on and give advice counter to mine, I'd run with theirs instead (at least most of theirs). |

Thank you Garrete, if I didn't answer your question properly, the reason is my "5 out of 10 point" english

If I understood it right, you want a prediction for the end
of the show with knowledge that happened during the show. I remember seeing I think Keith Barry, doing a balloon prediction. At the end of the show, he would take a ballloon that had been hanging all the show and would let the spectator pop it. When they would pop it it would show all the names of the people that participated during his performance. I think its a nice idea and hope it helps Paul.W From Israel |

Ylkay,
the problem with your question is that you want the best. and this is no best. it depends on what suits your needs, character, and performance style. There are so many end of the show prediction effects...you could start with Annemann. Plenty in there to keep you busy thinking. |

Thanks Richard, but I do not want the best, I didn't mention it, I just want an advice as you just did thank you

Your best best is to become familiar with and educated on the many methods available and their differences. To do this you should do some research yourself before asking these types of questions andconduct a search here of "Q&A methods and routines". You are a newbie as far as your post count and may not be able to do this until you reach 50 posts, then I would guess this thread should be moved downstairs to the Inner Thoughts forum which is private and members are more willing to openly share and offer specifics.
The problem as already pointed out is you are asking a subjective question that really has no answers, only opinions. The opinions are based on many factors such as performance character or personality, type of venues/markets performed, preferences to the using of accessories and tools, solo or duo, your personna's claims as to principals, and many other types of qualifications. Once these things are determined and explained you would probably get more direct helpful answers. Good luck. |

Thank you but is there any misunderstanding here? I do not ask for "best method" or didn't ask any subjective question, I am looking for an product that I can buy for end of the show prediction.

Knorbulyon, sorry for my post above, it was not intended for you or this thread, but rather the Q&A post asking for "the best methods" in this same forum. I don't understand how this happened - weird. But portions of that post could apply here as well pertaining to your end of show prediction as far as your possible methods, style, etc. Sorry for the confusion.

If you have the money, Malloy's is one of the best choices, used by folks like David Copperfield, Derren Brown and Criss Angel:
http://malloymodernmagic.com/master_prediction.htm Another deluxe (and expensive) system: http://www.wellingtonent.com/products/newpredict.html Be aware that these require backstage assistance. Here's a very handsome one, no idea about the cost: http://www.creationsbystar.com/page23predictionbox.html Paul Romhany offers his Dream Prediction, which is much less expensive and can be done without assistance: http://www.elmwoodmagic.com/full/mental-......8401.htm There are probably many more, Google: "Prediction box" |

Another option: A "Confabulation" routine in which several questions asked during the show are revealed at the end. One of my favorites is the easy, inexpensive and FUNNY version created by Cody Fisher: http://www.codyfisher.com/store/item/cod......nuscript
For $40, it may be worth checking out. |
