I think that I will have to get both B'Wave and Twisted Sister and find out for myself which one I prefer although from the looks of it they are both top notch effects.

Get them both, they are great to perform. You won't regret it.

I have both & both are great. TS is more of a "magic" trick while B'wave is more of a "mentalism" effect.

Another plus for TS is that people can see it done for others and never get a clue. Whereas, B'Wave doesn't hold up under repeats since the card must be red every time. I've had people ask me to do TS for their friends. No problem. It gets more mysterious for the folks seeing it for the second or third time.
I think the reason a couple of people have commented that TS is a "magic" trick while B'Wave is "mentalism" is due to the transposition phase. I think that lay people ultimately feel that it's mentalism. It's possible to entertain the thought that you somehow switched the cards by sleight of hand or that their face up condition was created using misdirection etc. But when the other SIX cards are jokers -- WHOA! It's mentalism. It's also a 1 in 16. Not a one in 4 like B'Wave. You might get lucky on one but BOTH?? Mike Also, why not use a switching envelope like the Ted Lesley item and do B'Wave ungaffed? The spec can hold the envelope during the set-up phase. You open it with scissors and there are only 4 cards... They can keep the cards.

The reason why TS is "magic" and BW is "mentalism" is simple - TS has Elmsley Counts, BW doesn't. So with TS, you've shown all the cards to be face down, and then you've magically changed that. But with BW, all that you've done is forecast their choice. (The "all" is not meant to denigrate BW, but to categorise it.) Unless, of course, you stick an EC in at the start of BW, in which case it completely changes it from "mentalism" to "magic".
The probabilities aren't obvious until you think about them. With B'wave, people occasionally said “Oh, I guess that most people think of that suit”. (But since I introduced an Elmsley Count into my performance of it, that “weakened” that objection.) Think about it – with B'wave, there's a one in four chance that you'd forecast their choice, and with Twisted Sisters, there's also a one in four chance that you'd forecast their choice. Though if you didn't restrict them to different colour Queens, it'd be a one in six chance. But intuitively, the odds seem significantly longer, don't they? Personally, if I have BW and TS with me and I wish to perform them, I perform TS if there are two or more specs, and BW if there's only one spec. Incidentally, one can of course perform BW using the TS cards. Both are excellent effects, in my opinion. Dave

I have both. I like both. However, for most of my Strolling gigs, I need stand up material. It is not always convenient to lay cards out on tables. Therefore B'Wave is my choice for practical reasons. Interesting that I had an old Z fold wallet I never used. I dug it out and it works perfectly with B'Wave.
