Yesterday I unwrapped my set of Topsy-Turvey Soda Bottles, from Michael Mosher’s new Wack-O-Magic company. They are just wonderful to work with. (For full disclosure, the amusing routine was submitted to Michael by yours truly, but I had nothing to do with the manufacturing end.)
There are a ton of plus things about the trick: --You use, and can hand out to your spectators REAL full Cola Bottles. --You can replace the standard bottles with any six-pack of Coke. --Being plastic bottles with heavy duty tubes, there is nothing to drop and break. --There’s a kicker ending, so you won’t have that “unfinished” feeling. --The set is self-contained, no gimmicks to add or take away. --The tubes have two-way arrows that add to the premise. --The spectator is respected, the magician is the one who’s confused. This is well made, topical (using one of the top-two soda brands) you’ll get the handling in just a few hours, you’ll have the presentation down in only a day or two. No more fake looking cherry-soda bottles, and meaningless tin tubes that can dent. Some smart guys are all ready coming up with variations, like multiple productions of more bottles using easy cup/ball moves, like other options for the kicker end, like a clean way to display both tubes to be totally innocent. This is the Topsy-Turvey I know I’ve been waiting for and wanted all my magical life, and thanks Michael for getting it on the market. They’re also a good price, and each set is lovingly hand made here in the U.S. you can find out more at their site: http://www.wack-o-magic.com AND a full demo video will be up in the next few weeks, so you can see the set in action!
