OK, I start by questioning your logic.
BTW, granted they've cloned plants (where the term comes from) and sheep
and MAYBE they've cloned people, but that doesn't indicate that memories and experiences would be brought over with the cloning.

As long as they don't make them into Stormtroopers, we're ok... Smile

Exactly Ed. They might be able to make a duplicate of a human, but they probably wouldn't be able to clone the memories n stuff. The clone (the duplicate, however exact it is) would just form it's own memories based on it's experience, however, it could possibly have the same passport and driver's license as the original and no one would ever know...

Speaking of Stormtoopers (Of the Star Wars variety) Yesterday in Henderson they had the annual ST. Patrick's parade. Anyway there was a group that was in the parade that dressed up as Star Wars characters. Darth Vader etc.. amongst the Stormtroopers was an obvious by the way the costume was made the way the trooper walked they were a woman. I had never seen a female Stormtrooper before. In fact even one of the parade announcers said that as well.

Just a quick hit on the neon bunnies thing...Have a look here-
http://www.neonmice.com/

I believe that human cloning is very possible but would not state that they have taken it to full term. I have no proof. There have been experiments where the eggs from other species have had human DNA substituted, but they were destroyed almost immediately.

If they were to bring a human clone to full term, it would pretty much be just a new person. I don't see "ownership" as an issue. Now if they clone individual organs (Just the organs...No nervous system) to replace worn out ones in a person, those could be owned. They can already clone edible raw meat (Pork) that is nothing more than meat cells. Organs are the next logical step. And they too would be little more than meat.
Oddish rabbit trail there...If they cloned human "Meat" that was little more than the same type of cells found in human muscle...Would eating it make you a cannibal? Even though it was never actually part of a human body?

There was a clone story in Asimov's magazine which dealt with the fact that clones are basically nothing more than twins. (The story even had two regular twins in the story and the clones wanted to know why they faced discrimination but the twins did not.)

I like the Ventress. Even though she's not a real Darth.

There's the Sith Witch. The original idea for Darth Maul.

Never see anyone dress up like her though... Smile
