Hi,
My name's Dazler and I'm a Magician! I've been a member here for about a month - you know just dipping in and out for tips! - but at last I thought I should say hello, so HELLO! Also I've got a question, I perform close-up stuff mainly with cards but am thinking of adding some Mentalist material to my act. I want something quick, easy to perform and without too much in the way of props (so I can walk around with it!) Has anybody got any recommendations? The things I've been looking at are: BY CHOICE AND BY CHANCE BY PAUL RICHARDS and ELIMINATOR VERSION 2 BY ADRIAN SULLIVAN. But I really would like something "edgy" if possible! Thanks in advance. D |

Welcome Dazler,
I don't do much mentalism so I can't really help you but others here can. Good Luck! -Mary Mowder |

Hi Dazler. I'm a new boy too, still trying to find my way round. I wonder whether it would make sense to ask your question in the section 'Penny for your thoughts'? That section deals with mentalism. The people there may not all read this section.

Hail to thee blithe spirit, welcome to the Café. A lot of mentalism is pretty propless....more stationary than anything else, richard osterlind's easy to master mental miracle series has quite a lot, but are you thinking stage or close up? Penny for your thoughts is the way to go.

Invisible Deck...Thought Transmitter...Annihilation Deck...three good options.
I'd advise you to read some of the postings in PENNY before you pose your question. If you use the same tone you've used here (and I understand you mean no disrespect) -- well...let's just say I wouldn't. They're great guys but I think the next magician who comes tripping in there asking for easy mentalism is gonna get dragged back into a dark alley... Welcome. You'll find many outstanding resources here. David
