Hi guys
I'm wondering if any of you know where I could get a wooden chop cup that doesn't look too ornate. |

The Café search function is a good place to start: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=115
There's a lot of info in this thread. As well as Eric and Colin, there's also Viking, Frank Startsini, Gareth Gwatkin etc. There are a lot of nice looking cups about that don't look "odd." Bri |

Does anyone know if Khin of Cambodia is still making chop cups? I remember seeing one at Bob Little's booth at a Magic Get-Together and it was a really nice teak cup.

First place to look is the Cups and Balls museum. There you can see more than 350 cups. Usually there are links to the manufacturers.

Hello Bill,
I've tried to get access to the Cups and Balls museum by sending a mail, but I'm using firefox as internet server and I don't really understand what else I have to do to get acess. Sorry for getting a little off topic, but it's actually impossible to send a PM to Bill. Thank you very much for your help and understanding. Oliver. |

Firefox is a browser, not a server.
It's very easy to get access. Just follow the instructions on the index page of the museum. That's the one you land on when you go to http://www.cupsandballsmuseum.com . Just click on the link in the line that says "To apply for a password" If you have an automatically configured e-mail client, then you will have what you need. Otherwise, copy the e-mail address into your e-mail client's line and add something in the subject line about wanting a password. It's not impossible to send a PM to me. I just have to send you one first.

Thank you very much Bill,
I just entered the museum and I just have one word to say : WOW !!! I think that my next days and nights are going to be very long...and my wife will hate me for sitting in front of the computer reading and exploring all those useful informations about the cups and balls and their history, as admiring all those pictures. Hopefully I'll find a picture of the type of cups I own. Thank you again very much. Oliver. |

If you don't find a picture of the cups you own, send me a photo. I may be able to identify them for you. Also, use the search function. Things show up there first.

My last visit to the Museum (a week or so ago) reminded me once again of just how much we are all indebted to Bill, not only for his magnificent collection but for his generosity in sharing it with us.
Thanks again, Bill. Sean |

Sean:
Your contributions to the history of the cups and balls should not be downplayed. Your edition/translation of the Ozanam and Guyot material is of great use to all of us.

Don England makes both Chop Cups and Dice Stacking cups out of wood. I just sent for a beauty made of cocobola (sp) that I saw at his Chicago lecture. Check him out.

Thanks, Bill. That's very kind of you but it's a tiny fraction of what you have contributed to the increase and advancement of knowledge of this particular branch of magic.
