Since the tender age of only ten years old, RT Showmann always had the instinctive ability to capture the public eye with his amazing talent. His undeniable stage presence never failed to entertain, and his maturing dexterity with a simple deck of cards always impressed everyone witnessing his pure passion for the art of magic. Now seven years later, what used to be a youthful performer with a spark of innocence in his eye, now developed into a character of charm and wit, regularly performs for big restaurants and popular resorts with his original, unbelievable magic. With a blossoming reputation in magic’s underground, RT Showmann made his true debut out on the streets of his small hometown in Pennsylvania. With a desire to attract attention on public sidewalks using what has recently been coined as extreme close-up ‘street magic,’ Showmann made a true name for himself with his community. Satisfied with what magic has offered him, he occasionally steps back from his paid gigs at popular nightclubs and resorts to share his abilities out on the streets where his local fame originated.
Hi guys. I actually just found this forum a couple minutes ago, but after browsing through the several topics and recognizing some intelligent performers, I think I'll find it extremely resourceful in the near future. Anyway... I'm RT, and the above is an excerpt from a newspaper article promoting one of my professional acts in my area. I've been interested in magic my entire life, and have recently started performing at Caeser's Palace and the Underground, a teenage hot spot during afterhours in my hometown. I have performed professionally for about seven years, and I am a youthful member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. I currently take part in several online forums such as the 'Ninja Forums' on http://www.ellusionist.com and 'Meeting of the Magical Minds' on http://www.online-visions.com. I enjoy talking about magic and sleight of hand-- I mainly specialize in close-up card magic and impromptu coin effects which all take place in the hands. I have succeeded in performing this unique brand of magic on the streets of New York's Central Park as well as in parts of the famous Louvre of France. I hope my original style and performance will take me to higher places. Well... that's me for you. I hope you enjoyed the ride... RT
