The ‘Lo Show Dei Records’ Italian television show for the Guinness World Records featured myself and about a dozen or so more record holders last week. Along side of TGN was (in no particular order); Throwdini with Ekaterina (USA), Elaine Davidson (Scot) over 6,000 body piercings, Ilker Yilmaz (Turk) squirts milk from his eyes, Jyoti Amge (Ind) worlds smallest girl at 61.9 cm, Khagendra Magar (Nepal) worlds smallest man at 65.5 cm, Dutchess (USA) worlds longest fingernails (Lee Redmond lost hers in an accident), 3 strongmen including Terry Hughes (UK) and Jimmy Laureys (Belg), (sorry about the names from here on), Anthony (Aus) arrow catching, Glen (Aus) record holder for board breaking, Chicco (It) breakdancer, Lee (China) abdominal suction lifted from the ground by metal bowl sucked onto his stomach, the Eggman (S. African) most eggs balanced on head, Kobyashi (Japan) record competitive eater, Claire and Anne (Oregon) world’s tallest twin sisters (6’7”), Lutz (Ger) unicyclist, Maurice (Fr) slack rope walker, and Laura (It) freestyle soccer ball handling. Pretty much everyone brought a spouse/manager and the raucous rabble at the hotel bar every night was enough to freak out pretty much the entire hotel staff. Still smacking myself in the head for not bringing the 2011 GWR Book for autographs.

My set up was a teaser swinging a bowling ball for the audience, then had to wait until the very end of the night as my record setting performance was the grand finale. I pulled a horse drawn carriage loaded with hot Italian models in ‘Mad Max’ costuming in a welded cage. The ‘vehicle’ (as described by GWR adjudicator Marco Frangetti) weighed over 1,000 kilos and was pulled over 20 meters. This was a brand new record that I set and received a medal and new certificate. Fireworks and pyrotechnics were used to dramatacize the entire experience, it was pretty awesome. The episode will air in Italy only on March 31st on Canale 5. Copyright prevents anyone outside Italy from viewing. Those in Europe can use ‘Sky’ service to watch. Either way I am sure it will be leaked onto YouTube by next week.

Oh, I misread. I thought you had opened for GWAR.
Well, this is cool too I guess. I'll keep an eye out for it on the Tube of You.
Congrats again on the honors.

No, that's Terry Hughes (UK), he dead lifted 950 kg for over 20 seconds. He was a bit of a jerk, one of the only guys who DIDN'T applaud for my record. Though I wouldn't tell him that... dude is like 7 feet tall 400 pounds of muscle.

Here's video for it..... don't expect to understand any of it unless you speak Italian.

That's eerie. He looks exactly like the Big Z:

Wonder if they know they're twins?
Zydrunas has the GWR for longest distance to carry a car.

Well, I applaud your record.
I heard Nad-a-lini tried to match it but died during the attempt.

I'd believe you if you weren't. You were there and I weren't. I am a big fan of the big Z though.
It's too bad he was jerky. Maybe he was just tired? I don't know. He always seems a little out of it in interviews. Maybe he has ADD or something?
Anyway, I like your outfit too. Good show.
Respect,

Cool,
I just did the show 2 weeks ago...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7PQutkLT_A
and the same Muscle guy above was on our episode. He was part of a contest between 3 guys to see who could flip a very heavy pole that was attached at one end to the ground.

That's it. I did not know it had a name. And speaking of names, here is an image I took of one of the dressing room doors. I took pictures of all of the dressing rom doors to remember the names of everyone and what they did. It was Zydrunas Savickas!

HA! Thet put him with the tiny people! He didn't take too much of a liking to the little Nepalese guy. I see Jerry had some off-comments about your act. How did you like having the Italians call you by your "Italian" name? I loved the fact that Nippulini is a fake name, but they say it with the accent. Good idea, having pictures of the dressing room doors. I actually had to use my brain and try to remember each of my co-stars. Did you like the hotel? Did they finally fix the coffee machine in the dining area? I was ready to kill someone every morning at breakfast. I hope you had Timothy for the bartender, he made the BEST Manhattan I have ever tasted.

Yeah, I'd love to get a full translation of what Gerri was saying. Luigi, the translator in my ear was only OK. Gerri was certainly having fun with my bit. I did the "grabbing my testicles joke", primarily for the studio audience to get a laugh thinking it would get edited out, and ***ed if it did not make it on the show. That's the Italians for you. I'd love to get the raw footage from my act. I did about 3 times the amount of time that made it on the show. I started at 6, then did 7 and "tried but missed 8" (gotta save something for another appearance) They only showed the 7, but I had a great time working the crowd and being silly building up to each number. Gotta admit, once I realized that dick jokes and stupid silly tricks are universal, I was having a good time with them.
The hotel was just OK. Hard to believe that it is a "4 star" hotel, but I guess in Europe the standards are different. I've stayed in much worse, but certainly much better. Timothy was absolutely excellent. He made the hotel a lot more tolerable. Very nice guy and total professional bartender. I enjoyed hanging out and chatting with him a lot while I was there. Coffee machine seemed to be working fine.
Yeah, there was just no way I would remember all of those names. Hell, I could not even pronounce most of them in the first place, much less remember them. I was impressed with you post where you rattled off all the names and what they did. Obviously your memory I a bit better than mine, as I have learned to rely on little tricks like photos of dressing room doors to help me remember. Overall, a lot of fun. It was my first Guinness Medal and Guinness TV experience. Met some great people that I will be friends with for a long time, and The Guinness People seemed to really like what I did for them, as well as the Canale 5 people. Overall, a check in the"win"column.
