Hi,
I was thinking of getting the pinnacle DVD. Is it worth $20. I saw the demo on penguin magic and it looks really angle sensitive. Is the kind of effect where you need to get the exact angle or you will flash something, is it the kind of effect where they won't see anything unless they are behind you, or is it the kind of effect that is completly angle proof. Thanks in advance. |

I just got home from the Midwest Magic Jubilee. There was plenty of killer stuff in the dealers' room, but the one absolute stand alone monster of the bunch was "Pinnacle". I'm pretty sure that just about every magician in MO and KS, bought this one.
First of all, I've got to say that Russ was great. He spent good quality time helping me with this one. in his hands I think this is possibly the most magical close-up effect I've seen. It is so devastatingly magical. I'm telling you guys that everyone was floored. I really mean EVERYONE. Let me say that there were some real cats at this convention. Nobody was safe from Russ and this amazing effect. The DVD is great, too. Russ does a great job teaching this one, and everything is perfectly clear and well explained. This being said, Pinnacle is not easy. It will take a short time to learn, but a looooong time to perfect. I cannot wait until this one is ready to add to my repertoire. Russ, I had a blast hanging with you this weekend. You're a quality guy and a superb magician. Good luck, although judging by the traffic at your booth, you won't need it. Eric Grossman

Get Pinnacle as it is a 10/10. You won't be sorry.

Eric-
It was great fielding the comments made in St. Louis. I had such a great time, and I'm glad you're enjoying Pinnacle. I took everyone I could through the routine, and many are progressing rapidly right from the start. You think you have a ways to go on it, but I have seen the progression, and you did very well. Once understood where everything goes, you advance quite quickly. Some have already said it's quite an obsession, and what helps steer that is how magical it really looks, but also that you can do it with your own ring, and a rubber band on your wrist. These being so accessible, I'm sure it speeds up the learning curve. The activity at the booth was terrific. But really, guys, the items just sell themselves. Take a look once again at the clips. Many on their own have stated they look even better live. And the clips are darn good already! And Hawk- thanks for the very brief, but to the point review.
