David Strassman has a couple of new apps. They are called "Ask Chuck" and "Ask Teddy." Basically, you ask a question, push a button, and an animated image of the puppet gives an answer. The question you ask is, of course, irrelevant; the answers are random, in character pronouncements. For instance, two of Chuck's answers are, "That's a real stupid question" and "I predict 'yes,' but there will be real bad consequences."
Much as I admire Strassman as a vent and a innovator, it seems to me that these apps are only for the most avid of fans who simply can't get enough of his characters. This is one of the few times I felt that an app was not even worth the 99 cents I spent for it. Bob P.S. There is currently one rave review on the iTunes store. It is by Steve Altman, a co-developer of the app. |

I got the e-mail on those, but don't have an i-Phone - yet. The fact Altman reviewed the app is pretty funny.
Does Dunham have an app? I've heard a lot of acts discuss getting them - but I guess I'm old technology because I just don't see the advantage. Tom |

Dunham does. Even if you don't have an iPhone, if you have iTunes on your computer you can search the App Store for it. Seems to do more than the Strassman app, and has a lot of commercial tie-ins (Jeff's tour dates, etc). The reviews of it are mixed.
And, Tom, no iPhone? Time to move into the 21st century. Bob (All Mac'ed up and no place to go) |

Tom you need to get an IPhone, they have an app called “IPUPPETBLUE” it is the face of a puppet that works like a vent figure, when you talk, it opens and closes its mouth and wiggles its brows; and if you get the Verizon version of the IPhone, you receive phone service as well, a great extra benefit

See Tom, if you get an IPhone, you can get your own app that will advertise your show dates for your fan base, then Dunham can see where you’re performing.
