EFFECT:
The magician says some people have pet rocks, well he has a pet CARD CASE and it is well trained. Having said this, the magician brings out an UNGIMMICKED Bicycle deck of cards. He removes the cards and shows the case saying this is his pet. His name is "CASEY." He points to the large spade on the case saying this is his nose and the spade's stem is his tail. The performer holds the case above his open palm and drops it into his palm a few times. "Look how well trained Casey is," the performer says. This time as he releases the deck he says, "STAY." The card case remains suspended in mid-air and does not fall into his palm! This is done without any setup. NO THREADS, NO RUBBER BANDS OR ELASTICS. No Mechanical Devices. No magnets or pulleys. Nothing to break. Can be instantly repeated. Perfect for the strolling performer. See a video demo of the card case floating and revolving in the air. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykt_OJIG24A

I'll admit I'm not a big fan of things floating (except perhaps David Copperfield flying) and no offense meant, but this doesn't look particularly magical in my opinion. It looks like something is being spun around a pivot point. I appreciate it's impromptu though and that means some sacrifices have to be made, but this like a lot of other "floaty" tricks doesn't have the appearance of what something would look like if it really did float and that is the reason I don't like them.

Got this- it's nice. It's not hard but yet definately requires practice. Just like a lot of tricks- put the practice time in and this WILL look very good live! And with all that's included- ending clean is not hard to accomplish, as a matter of fact with the use of a little something that's included- ditching the gimmick is made easy! I think this would be a GREAT opener before your card trick. Again- clever thinking Devin!

I have to say, I've never seen anything quite like that.
Are there cards in the case? DD |

There can be cards in the case, but it is easier if the case is empty. IN the routine the cards are taken out and the case floats and finds a selected card.

I "friended" Blammo on Facebook. Maybe I'll add World Magic Shop, too, eventually.
