I do a lot of non card work, so the card stuff that I do needs to be strong. I recently picked up a new deck and after I had bought it realized that I bought a deck with Jumbo Index as opposed to the regular ones.
Here is my challenge: using a normal deck of cards (normal index) work out a routine that uses the jumbo index cards in some way throughout the routine. An obvious routine would be to have the normal cards turn into jumbo via a change of some sort, but there really is no motivation. I have a few ideas, but I wanted to hear what everyone else thinks. I am posting this in the double and triple dare areas so everyone can enjoy. Thoughts? XX |

Trying to use the _homing card_ as a running gag?

I see big comedy eye glasses, regular glasses, or magnifying glass. When you or spectator have on the glasses, the jumbo indexes are seen as you go through the deck. When they're off, the cards change back to normal. Just a brain fart.

That could be funny. You put on reading glasses and the card indices get bigger. When you take them off, the indices go back to normal.
Kind of like the plot of the PKDick story "Flow My Tears the Policeman Said".

I haven't read the story that you refer to, but it sounds interesting. I like the ideas thus far. I have so far done a top change and stepped back a few feet and asked if the card looked about the same. Court Cards work best for this. Then I step in close to show it is bigger. More of a throw away than anything else.
