If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

It's really surprising the Shadow Empire hasn't taken Tommy out yet for educating us all.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

That's 'cause they're devious. Lulling you all into a false sense of security . . .

Actually, his contributions here are a necessary part of the equation that fall under the heading "The Revelation of the Method" or "Making Manifest All That Is Hidden".

It’s a wonder the owners are still extending some of you credit to play in their casino. I guess you must have some collateral left.

Cotton perhaps?

I think we have veered off topic, somewhat.

I believe in Free Will and Predestination. They are both True.

It is a matter of perspective.

Think of our experience of reality like it was a a two-button elevator in a two story building.

If you're saying we have relatively free choices, but are all destined for a dirt nap, I wholeheartedly agree.

In some strange way, I agree with Whit, but in this way: The only thing that's predestined is that we will die, concerning everything else, we have free will.

Which is kind of what Steve said, except that I don't believe we have "relatively" free choices, I think they are totally free.

You have to pay for most choices. Especially food. Smile

Also, while you can take precautions and improve your odds, you cannot actually 'choose' not to get sick, have accidents, etc.

There are so many things that one can do to have a greater say over what happens to them in life -- and the term "free will" might apply.

Plan before acting, check you oil before the red light goes on, brush your teeth before going on a date, read the instructions, always be on time, find a designated driver, sport out discordant mempries, etc.

I short, to be accountable for everything you can control, modify or change. The only probalem of getting what yoiu wants out of life is that everyone else is also trying to do the same, but since few are willing to use their free will, those that do are a step ahead.

It is rather useless to debate alignment with some devine plan or not if one is not willing to make changes now. Life is not about knowing which TV channel to watch, it is about knowing there is an on/off button and choosing to do something else, or at least looking at the guide and making a conscious choice about a program rather than just clicking through channels for the best option on the fly.

There are those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who ask, "what happened?" -- free will in action.
