So I just bought these pyrowizard flash bills. They clearly don't look like real bills. That much I'm over. I'm going to switch it from finger palm for the spec's bill when it's folded into eighths. But even when folded up into eighths the margin on the bills is as WHITE as a Crest commercial. It's a MAJOR visual discrepency. Is there an ink or chemical that I can add to the white part of the bill to make it look less conspicuous? The key factor is that it doesn't reduce the burn speed. Any a you pyros play with this idea before?

Colored pencil.
Yep, shade the bills, using several light layers of several different colors to get the effect. It should be OK from a few feet away. |

The art shops carry PrismaColor pens. They have every color under the rainbow. The pens come with a fine tip on one end and a broad tip on the other end. One swipe with the broad tip around the edge of the bill and your done.

Flash bills are not really soooo much realistic to be shown as regular ones.
the thing that puzzles me is that you bought dollar flash bills and normally the dollar stuff does not deal with problems because dollars are made out of normal paper. I would say that you should use them folded (in this way they are un detectable) or from big distance Harrismatic |

Because I can say for quite sure that NO American bills are paper. In my 20+ years in retail collecting money, I have received quite a few forgeries. The favorite being the $1 bleached and printed (inkjet no less) with a $20 graphic. The bill "paper" is the same for all currency, this is why counterfeit pens work on all bills.

Of course a currency could not be printed with regular paper but us dollars are made of a type of paper close to the normal. Counterfeit pens work because they recognise fibers that are added in the paper which actually don't affect the quality. Euros are supposed to be water proof. I had also seen money from australia that are made out of a material between paper and plastic and the bill could not crease. Obviously you can be probably correct due to the fact you have better knowledge of the subject. I have never seen dollar bill but this is what I knew for them as well as the feeling I had got from demonstration videos.

Canadian bills have some type of plastic embedded in the fibers, another forging preventative.... unfortunately (for them) when bills are left in a hot car, the plastic shrinks, making the bills scrunched up and unusable. I guess the Canucks didn't figure for summers!

The classic way is to crumple them up and rub on cigarette ash.
Full disclosure, I've only read about this, never tried it.
