Hi guys!
I've been using this straight jacket every week for about 2 years now. Last week one of the buckles broke and I'm thinking of getting a new one... However I'm no escapology guru and I'm not sure what's the term for this straight jacket or where to get it from, as it was a gift from a friend back then. Here are photos of the jacket I currently have. Hopefully someone can help me! http://i55.tinypic.com/2jd26hk.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/332c9k1.jpg Thanks in advance! |

Doesn't matter who made it. Your best bet for a quick and effective repair is to visit a cobbler -- a local shoe store that has a repair bench. This is a very easy fix for a cobbler and he'll appreciate the interesting change of pace. Good luck.

Hi! Thanks for your response! I have already dropped it off at a local cobbler, who said he needed a day. However, I also intend on getting a second straight jacket. But I'd like it to be the same as the one I'm using right now. Any directions for me on that?

It's a Davenports sj. Sold by Davenports magic in London, England. I don't know if they still sell them.

Nice looking jacket.
So, did Davenports sell their jackets with the red trim as shown? |

Mine came with it already attached. I bought it back in 1996 when I was 15. It was too big so couldn't use it until I'd grown and was 18
Cost me a lot of paper round money that too! I assume all their jackets came with the red trim as standard.

I don't know. I think in our profession you're only middle-aged when you are older than the majority of handcuffs you own. Until then you're still just an adolescent. And after that point, well, you're basically Ken and Harley. LOL
