Was this just interview fluff to prove his point or was Ricky Jay conned?

What better way to learn never to drop your guard? Why would you think he was not telling the truth?

Not sure why it matters, but I'm sure it's true. I did a quick search and found that he was born and raised in Brooklyn in '48. Enough said.

And what is interesting is that the group that Ricky Jay mentioned as being susceptible to getting conned are the ones usually conned for investment cons: doctors, lawyers, etc. with a lot of money, decent brains, and a touch of attitude (not always, but, you KNOW).
But, as was said, no one is invulnerable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VE9HgBBnW4M&feature=relmfu |

When thinking about the Ricky Jay of today, it might be hard to believe he can be conned.
But I am quite sure he did not start with all the knowledge, and I am willing to bet that a lot of that knowledge came at a price. Regards, |
