It is in the paperwork and has been the policy of Fedex as well as UPS for years. They will make three attempts to make a signiture required delivery. Many people are not home so they can call and pick up the package from a location. The complaint is out of line Al.
As for wonderful areas and dogs I had an order delivered to a customers house, he was a sales guy who worked out of his house, so he could take the semiconductors to his customer personally. This was around the time the carriers got sick of not having people home and started putting down the notation 'Delivered'. I found UPS to be very accurate and if they say delivered it likely was. The guy didn't get the order per him so we sent it again and again he claimed not receipt. I gave him a call and asked if he had a dog, he did, and if the dog had a lay around spot. The rep went and checked and found both missing orders that had been put over the fence chewed up and laying where the dog hung out. As a guy who was a traffic manager for years I prefer that at least one actual attempt to deliver be made rather than what they do now by just dropping it off. I did have a fun experience with DHL. DHL is very good at international express and okay for domestic business to business but you do not want to use them for residential. I had a piece of test equipment that needed repair, it was valued at around $120,000, and my clerk sent it to rural Oregon where the repair guy was via DHL. DHL doesn't really deliver to residential areas in a lot of the country so they gave it to a contractor who gave it to a fellow with a van. That van driver didn't like having to look for addresses so his thing was to just drop packages he had left over at some random address and put down in his report that it was delivered. We never found that piece of equipment and it is likely sitting in a shed some place. |

I haven't been to the airport since they patted me down a couple years ago, and all of my future vacations will be local.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

Acesover What makes you think that I would report my mail man for doing me a favor? OH. I don't know. You just put it on the internet. To tell the truth I am very surprised he does that, even being a friend. Don't laugh but it is probably a federal offense. I am sure you would not tell anyone purposely.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000

We don't exactly stop every strange car, but we ask stopped strange cars if we can help them find an address, before we call 911.
