Hank Moorehouse died suddenly in Beijing while on a two week tour of close-up magic for Mr. Lin. The report is that it was very sudden. Currently, there is little communication since the US Embassy is closed for the July 4 holiday. The death certificate must go through the Embassy which won't open until Tuesday - and only after that can the body be released. Thousands of shows later retired the character in 1992. * 1975 - 1977 - Chairman and show producer for Magic Dealer Conventions. 1975, 1976 in Cedar Point Amusement Park, Sandusky, Ohio In 1977 held at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan. * 1977 - 1979 - Created a stage show for Girl Scouts and Leaders. Performed in three states. This was an educational show to increase the sale of Girl Scout Cookies. It ran for two and a half years. * 1981 - 1982 - Became the promotional face of WAAM Radio in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Wizard of WAAM performed hundreds of shows at malls, fairs, store promotions, etc. * 2008 - Artistic Director, China Closeup Tour. 15 shows in 20 days. Five world class performers. First time anywhere in the world a touring closeup show in large theaters with video enhancement. To be repeated in the summer of 2011 with more shows and different performers. |
