How the plot goes:
You have a deck of cards- shown fairly openly that its a normal deck. You tell the spec- as I spread through the cards face up- I want you to lock a card in your head- don't say it out loud. You spread- they mentally choose. You then turn away while the spec cuts the cards and removes a number of cards(the value of their "thought" of card) from the cut off portion. They hide their pile from you so you cannot tell how many cards they have. If their "thought" of card is in stack they removed- have them switch it for the top card of the cut pile. Then complete the cut and their "thought" of card is lost in the deck. The spec then places their pile of cards they removed on the bottom of the deck. You shuffle, make a couple of cuts to apparently show you mixed the cards. You then count out(cards FACE DOWN) 4(four) piles of 13 cards in each pile. You have the spec pick a pile- you pick the pile up- look through it- outjog ONE card. And YES- you guessed it- the out-jogged card IS the spectators "MENTALLY SELECTED" card!


I finally performed this last night for a co-worker. And let me tell you- BAM! This BLEW him away. Even before I revealed the out-jogged card, the spec stated, "That better not be my card, no way can that be my card". I had him state his "mentally selected" card and then had HIM take the out-jogged card and turn it over to reveal the match! It's just so nice to look up and see "That Look" of smile/no-way/astonishment. I HIGHLY recommend this. What is the reset? Quick- maybe 15 to 30 seconds! Great for table hopping or strolling!

How difficult is this trick? are there many sleights involved?

It is very easy to do if you can do a false cut and a double undercut.
Those are the only "moves"

I apologize, but my answer above is actually incorrect.
The only "MOVE" truly needed requiring skill is one false cut.
The deck takes care of everything else so you can focus
on the presentation.

This uses a regular deck of cards not ESP cards. Anyway- just wanted to post another review- performed this for 4 more people recently. The reactions I got were pretty amazing-

"No way- that better not be my card!"
"That was sick- no way!"
"Your amazing- How?- That's crazy!"

Folks- this is good. Very good. I've probably performed this around 12 times- never have I had a bad or even a mediocre reaction. It always gets that "WOW" reaction. For the price- you can't go wrong.

If the person can do a false cut and count up to thirteem, this effect can be easily accomplished.
Sometimes less is more and we all have heard do not run unless you are being chased, right?

Got the deck and sifted through it before reading the directions and was not sure what to expect.
Finally got to read through this effect and as usual, this trick is VERY good!
I have tried this on a few people and will say this...I have spent much more $ on less of a trick. For this price, Jeff must be crazy. I now have a favorite card effect that lets me focus on the presentation. The deck is not set in stone and that makes it even more fun to perform. There is a way to add yet another layer of mystery to this effect and Jeff has that in the directions too. I prefer the extra layer of mystery, which makes the effect more impossible to the spec, yet even easier for me. What more can you ask for? More mystery and less work!
