On the other hand, Martin Nash preferred the strike method. Willis Kenny, a true hustler, and considered by some to be the best second dealer in history, also used the strike method. Ahh sorry, I was talking about bottom deals. whooopss. Usually the push-off is more convincing with second deals. Having said that, in Marlo's Master Grip there's not much of an optical difference between the Push-off and Strike technique. It's worth noting that Marlo doesn't like calling his method a "Strike" technique though, rather a "Master Take" technique. Still, the "Master Take" doesn't involve any kind of push-off, so really it's just an improvement on the Strike method.
From the man himself: "It has been stated that the strike method of dealing [seconds] can easily be spotted... All of this brings us to the second deal technique which we call the "Take Method". If the student follows the instructions for this deal, he will find that between it and the two card push-off... there will be little appreciable difference" (Marlo, Seconds, Centers, Bottoms. 16). I'm loving this book, Zac

Four years ago, I moved out of my parents' house and into an apartment with my then girlfriend. I then married her and bought a house. I lost my Gene Maze "On the Bottom" deal book. I'm really bummed because it wasn't right for me back then, but now I'm heavy into gambling and have learned many false deals. I wish I could find that book again.
