Here is the description given on Hocus-Pocus:
"WOW! When Barry Price performed this for us we were completely floored! I guarantee you'll get the same reaction--if not stronger--from your audience. A sturdy metal spoon is held between your index finger and thumb. You focus your attention on the spoon and begin to concentrate. Suddenly, the spoon begins to bend almost as if it's melting in response to your hypnotic gaze, right in front of your audience's eyes--NO COVER!! The handle of the spoon bends back toward your hand, through your fingers, and down to nearly a 90 degree bend! It is then instantly dropped directly onto a table or into your spectator's waiting hand! Simple and straight forward: No switching, no fumbling, no funny moves, and the spoon is so thick that the spectator will have a hard time bending it even using two hands! This precision-made prop allows you to have complete control of how fast or slowly the spoon bends. We have been trying to obtain this item from Barry for six months, but due to high demand he has been unable to supply them until now. We have a limited quantity available to offer you, our Hocus Pocus Customers, and when we've sold out, who knows when we'll be able to get more. Don't wait! Order yours today!" Okay I would like to know how practical this gimmicked spoon is and if it really is as amazing as it sounds..no switching? Also I really would like to add this to Banacheks material as a finale. Especially since this is very visual, and straight forward as described above. I think it would be a great finish. So if you own this effect or know about the secret and would like to offer a non-biased review I would really apprecite it very much , thanks! |

Briefly, the handling for this is a bit awkward. You have to have the right size hands (larger the better). It's not the easiest thing to handle naturally. The bending is pretty nice to see. However, it's very expensive for what you get; Guy Bavli has an easy version of a side-bending spoon, but his spoon doesn't look as good.
Do a search for this item (explore the tools available on the top right of the screen) and you will find many have reviewed it already. Brian |

I agree with Brian that it's somewhat awkward to get into. Handling is critical and should have been supported better by the instructions, which are inadequate. An accompanying DVD would have made the $50 price a little more rational.
To be fair, the ultimate effect is excellent and I'm sure in Barry Price's hands is a miracle. |

So it's fair to say that this spoon can be 100% examined right after the bend like the descpription states and there are really no switches? This sounds too good to be true.
So is it the same spoon all throughout the bend? |

It's not fair to say any of that in an open forum like this. Do a search for other reviews and you may draw your own conclusions about how the effect works. You will have to make some assumptions when you read a marketing ad. Or, go to an online magic dealer, such as Hocus Pocus, and have a look at the video presentation of it to see how accurate the description is for yourself.
