How did it make you feel that you were chosen to do the illustrations for the great Dai Vernon?

Hi Keith,
As you kidding—you could have knocked me over with a feather. I was always a fan of Dai Vernon, and to be able to work with him on the Chronicles was, and continues to be, a cherished moment in my lifetime in magic. I have fond memories of chatting with Larry Jennings and Bruce Cervon about the contents of the books. As part of my agreement, L & L supplied me with video tapes of all of the material...which made it even better. While I have fond memories about all of the books that I have illustrated, the Vernon Chronicles remains at the top. |

Some of my all time favorite books.
