Hello everyone. I have been doing a lot of work on my website recently, trying to make it as effective as possible. I am looking for some feedback from others, and would appreciate hearing what other people like, and what they would like changed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The website address is http://www.charlieandcheckers.com Thanks everyone!

The spelling is "magnificent"
Would like to see a a least one performance piece where we hear you talk and work the crowd. Voice over for the video. At times the text seems almost defensive, consider changing from first person to third person. Gil Scott |

Thanks Gil,
I fixed the obvious spelling error, and am looking into working with your other suggestions. Danny |

Looks good.
I have to ask, how did you guys end up with a cowboy and a clown? I think it works but was just wondering the story behind it.

We have been performing for years and our characters sort of evolved. Charlie was created from the concept that Cowboys have a recent connection with audiences from Toy Story. I wanted to create a show that would seem like it was from simpler times. My brother had already chosen himself as a clown during talent show entries, so we just put the two together. It has been very well received. I really hope to see more feedback on our website. I know some of you reading this tend to post often, so I would really appreciate it if you would add to the input I have received so far.

Charlie,
The background colors you have are a little bright which makes the text hard to read, so you might want to dial those down a little. Also, you may want to include a testimonial quote and feature your contact info higher on the page. Mike

The outstanding thing is that your USP is in black letters on a dark blue background. In other words WHAT THE HECK DOES IT SAY!! I can't read it

I wrote too soon. A couple more suggestions I see a lot of info on what you do and who you are, you even mention that you do work for the homeless & handicapped. As a potential customer I say "that's nice, but so what." The customer wants to know the BENEFITS of hiring you over someone else. How do I benefit you the customer should be foremost throughout the site. I see pictures of you but what about the audiences laughing and having fun. Look at what your customer wants to know and give them that information.

Paddy - thanks for the responses. I like your thoughts. I will think about strategies to increase content that says "hire me" to more people. The part you read about my free shows is true, I am proud of it, but I put it in my website because it is the BENEFIT that separates me from others for some people. Since I added that content to the site, you would be surprised the number of clients that mentioned they really liked the fact that we give back to the community. I know Davic Copperfield had information on his website about his "Project Magic".
