Hello to all!
My name is Seth Turnlund, I am a graduate student at the Univeristy of Idaho, in the United States. My Grandfather was a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and years ago I was very much involved with him in magic, and performed some simple magic shows in high school. However, life got in the way, and I stopped practicing legerdemain for some time. Recently, my Grandfather passed away, and gave me all of his magic supplies (30-40 books, and a large case full of tricks). So, now totally back into magic for about 6 months now, and hopefully will make a lifetime hobby out of it. Coin magic in particular goes really well with classical guitar playing, which I also do, because both require very limber hands and fingers, so that is my favorite as of now. Thanks for reading! Take care all, Seth Turnlund Note: I live in Moscow, Idaho. If anyone is in the area, drop me a line, would love to meet and have a coffee with any fellow magician in the area. |

Welcome to the Café! You are very fortunate to start with a library of reference/magic books. The International Brotherhood of Magicians or Society of American Magicians websites may also be helpful in networking to find other local magicians. Enjoy your time on the Café, it is filled with knowledgable magicians.

Welcome TengLun,
It's wonderful that you are getting back into Magic and always fun to hear generational stories of Magic. I think the practice necessary for Classical Guitar and Coin Magic are similar too. Hope you connect with some local Magicians. -Mary Mowder |
