Off the top of my head,
Sympathy For The Devil

I agree, don't care for the Stones all that much but I liked Sympathy.

My actual favorite Stones song is "Beast of Burden," but only done by Bette Midler.

Man Lobo we are in tune this week. Gimme Shelter hands down for me.

You may be uniquely qualified to help me out with another distinction that I'm finding harder to make. What's our favorite song by The Who?

We really are connected this week because I'm conflicted too. 20 years ago I'd have said Baba O'Riley hands down. But it's lost some of its power, probably due to overplay.

Behind Blue Eyes has a new place for me because of an interview I heard with Pete Townsend a few years ago. He astutely noted that the lyric could be interpreted as not being about an individual (as he had originally intended) but about the West and agencies like the IMF that have a face that promises aid, while hiding more sinister motives. But this, too, has suffered from overplay.

So maybe it's time to resurrect The Seeker. Whaddaya say?

Both Baba O'Riley and Behind Blue Eyes have been past favorites of mine, as well! I think The Real Me is a great sleeper pick, too. I just don't know...great band.

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley.

I think Dr. Jimmie and Mr. Jim is my favorite Who tune. Behind Blue Eyes does have a special place in the darkest recesses of my heart.
The Who just wrote too many great songs.
