Does anyone do the Abbott and Costello Who's on First besides Willie Tyler?

For what it's worth (which is not much, I suppose), I used to perform that routine in high school (to much success, I might add).

I've performed variations based on the idea of it (not baseball themed) with one of my vent figures, Louie. And I'm mentoring a group that does a vaudeville show that features WOF. But vent isn't involved in that one. Mustn't worry too much about "stealing" it from Abbott and Costello. It was an old routine passed around when they latched onto it. They polished it, but they also did various different versions depending upon the time frame. There's another old vaud version called "Sesquehanna Hat" that follows the same theme.

Here is Paul Zerdin doing a version of it. I'm sure I have seen a better version but I can't find it at the moment!

Thanks for the link, Colin. That's a neat version that Paul does.

Nice variation. I have an old Bergen album with A and C doing a routine about Costello getting a job in a tailor shop. Double meanings to sewing and dieing etc.

Well I finally did it. I memorized an abbreviated script of "Who's on First" and did it for a Labor Day show. The adults loved it. I knew the kids would not understand it so my wife did an intro with a poster showing the players. Hue is on 1st ,Watts on 2nd and I'dunno is on 3rd. The poster really helped.

I remember seeing the Berlin Brothers do it as a double ventriloquist act at the 1975 conVENTion. That was kind of interesting.
