In the most recent issue (Sept. 2011), there's retrospective of past covers. On page 50, lower left, there's the Jan 2004 issue with Del Ray.
He's shown with a stuffed toy, perhaps a fox? Can anyone tell me more about this - was it some specific effect he did? Thanks for any help, Larry S. |

Don't have the issue in front of me, but in his stage act, he had a bear that sat on a table and periodically drank shots of (correct me if I'm wrong) whiskey. Basically a modern automaton.

James,
Thanks for the information. In the cover, it looks like Del Ray has a glass with liquid in it in his left hand, so that matches with your description. The bear/stuffed seems to be holding something too, but I can't make out what it is. It could be that the bear is pouring a drink into a very small glass, but it's hard to tell given the size of the cover picture. Thanks again! Larry S. |
