Its easy, just look at the things you post and you will find your answer. And for your information, I work alongside more college grads than you can shake a stick at, go figure. And something else while I'm here. You claim to have done work in games yourself, yet here you are ratting this guy out to the guy who runs the game. What does that make you ? Are you a hustler or a rat ? What are you going to come up with ? That you were ratting him out to take heat off yourself ? That would be dumb as this clown would only make your job easier, no ? Do you know what you are at least, or what you are tyring to convey yourself to be ? Im not going to go on and on with you as its a waste of time, one day you will figure it all out for yourself. Or maybe not, lol. Hows them car keys by the way ?? |

I ratted him out so he would be required to return all his winnings and everyone moves up a place. |

Didn't that college teach you how to write?

There is a difference in knowledge and information. Information you have, knowledge, at least from your posts it seems you lack. Information is 2+2=4. Knowledge is "don't put out a campfire with your face". For the record, a thermometer has lots of degrees. Not impressive. Plus I have to say that most people who actually have such a degree don't really have to point it out to others. It comes across pretty readily. Nobody attacks you for your degree, but rather for your obvious desire for attention from the adult table. I mean when you thought Tony was talking about geography as to where he has been, wow I had to check if I broke a rib laughing at that one. (Again applying information when it was knowledge that was called for.) Seriously you thought he meant you hadn't been to Vegas? SERIOUSLY? Then you wonder why people don't take you seriously? If you want to sit at the adults table then you have to put on the big boy pants. (See I am MUCH more condecending than Tony.) Try learning instead of teaching. Try listening to stories instead of telling them. Fact is that by pretty much any standard you care to apply, Tony has been there and done that. It comes across in his posts, his language and his disposition. You...well not so much lets just say that. I don't particularly care if you listen or not mind you. I just hope you don't discourage some of the more interesting posters from sharing is all.

I posted it here to better this section and make it more indepth. I did no attack anyone. Tony acts like a child and post this remark Quote:
Look at the guy who is telling the story, that speaks volumes right there, lol. This just makes me laugh because when he first came here, he posted a whole story about this run in with the "perfect shot". His mindset behind his comments was, "I want to fit in and be like the cool kids so I should put him (me) down". Btw, party at the TKE house tonight, everyone is welcome to come except Tony. Its off West Bourne Lane. |

But before you can say that success is also a result of either a high income or education, you must first define success. It would seem that the more money you have, the more successful you are because you can not only buy food, water, and shelter but you can buy luxuries. It would seem that success equates to survival and it would also seem that money means success, therefore money must equal survival. This is false, it is easy to fall into this trap. Consider this; if the success of a person is really how well they can survive, and the current way of life is unsustainable and destructive to the very land that provides the means of our survival, then we are not successful. Its true that in the short term, the money will buy you food, water, a home. But the fact is, our culture is actively destroying the very means of the survival of the human race for money (see timber industry, commercial fishing, factory farming, industrial pollution to name a few). So if success really equals survival, but success in this culture so far has been nothing but an outright attack on our means of survival, then what our culture has so far thought of as success has been wrong. And if education (in its current form) is a hallmark of a successful society that we know isn't even successful at securing its own future then no, you cannot say that college leads to success, only to money. [EDIT: the wording of the money equals survival premise] cut me some slack, it's late . |

Firstly, theres no way on earth YOU could know my mindset, that's indisputable. We are years and worlds apart in our thinking and actions, but youre young so you may learn eventually, but I wouldnt bet on it. Another difference would be in your reference to me telling the story about what I saw. Theres another difference right there : I told the story according to what I saw. If it was you telling the story, it would have went along the lines of you telling everyone that YOU were the guy making the shot ! At least you admitted youre a rat though, hardly admirable but its a beginning. Now for the meantime go back in the corner and put the dunce cap back on your head where it belongs and remember this saying as it will help you through out your life : Its better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot than to open it and remove all doubt. Oh one other thing before I forget, youre in the Boston area ? Do yourself a huge favor, stay out of the clubs around there although I doubt you could ever get in in the first place, but if someone ever takes you there to play, heres a little tip : don't even think about doing so much as a peek. I guarantee you your car keys wont help you there at all. don't say I never did you a favor. |

Yet as an engineer, I hate to hear the common argument that a college degree is not necessary to achieve success. People making things happen without the decency to have a degree should be outlawed. Especially since Bill Gates, having dropped out of a degree, is obviously not nearly as intelligent as you are. Quote:
While there are many outliers, probability distribution depicts that a college degree dictates higher income and higher education among those individuals. Please do not downgrade the strenuous work involved in achieving such an achievement. You confuse education with intelligence. You have a degree, but so have many people. It is what you make out of it that counts. I suggest to start bragging when you have something to brag about. Like actually having done something. Regards, |

Tony my brother you're absolutely correct in what you are saying!!
@BlackEagle, this is not an attack on you, but to let you know, once known as a rat you're always a rat, you're either part of the pack or not unless you're reformed but still you keep your mouth shut and and don't say a *** thing, there's a code with the fraternity wether you know the man or not you keep quiet , approach him after and speak to him afterward instead of ratting him out NOT COOL DUDE wether you care or not. If you knew he was using artifice a true hustler would of done things differently, use signals, maybe he can catch some of the techniques, or gestures and both of you could of took down the joint and talk afterward, instead of going out after and ratting him out, if there was too much heat afterwards you could both cool it down a little, I'm just glad you or anyone else didn't get hurt, if that was anyone else who had found out or known about the tat, trust me you would of got F:($&D up real bad as his reputation could get tarnished now. Just saying. Be careful my friend, again this is not an attack on you. Know who you are. God Bless Louie L |
