Well I gotta say it's a pretty impressive illusion and works exactly as advertised. The only complaint I have is this: for the sixty bucks I paid, I expected sturdier materials. Besides a thin black cloth, the rest of the material is either flimsy cardboard or laminated paper. For those familiar with the illusion, would a remnant of real carpet work. It's nighttime and I haven't been able to play with different materials but I'm assuming it's the background and glasses that is the "core" of this. Thx for your thoughts.

Oh and Seomagic has the best customer service. Not only did they send a complimentary card trick (unexpected), I got this in two days and it was a pre-order

Would you be so kind and post a review over in the Tenyo Of Japan section?

Aren't all Tenyo products like that? They're just cool toys. Randi |

This is a very cool toy! The illusion created is quite remarkable. Actually Randi most of Tenyo's items are very well manufactured albiet in plastic. Many I know regard them as toys but they are very clever toys... nothing wrong with a little play time! The props for Flying Carpet are predominately card board which is a departure for Tenyo but necessary given the type of props. I could see building a cool cheesy sci-fi presentation around this. Possibly theme it around one of those weird items you ordered from the back of a comic book as a kid. Ahhh yes... the x-ray specs, 7' foot monsters, sea monkeys, submarines for one... and of course human levitation!
Actually there is a new book out about items from comic books... they show the ads and what was actually received... very fun read! John |
