I was saddened this morning to hear that Johnny Cash had died.
Although I'm only 15, I thought he was great and my whole family loved him. Rest in Peace Johnny. |

I remember listening to Live at Folsom Prison back in the late 60's...brilliant. Real country music...great atmosphere.

Thank you Johnny for what you gave us...
We have been using the video for his remake of the song Hurt in our show for the past five months. It is very moving and touches our audience like nothing else I have ever seen. Prayers go out to his family. "Everyone I know, goes away in the end...and you could have it all, my empire of dirt, I will let you down, I will make you hurt." Thank you Johnny...you touched me

It was nice to see him do a song like Hurt. No there are 14-year-olds who have actually heard of him. He even won some awards for his latest recordings. At least he went out with a bang!
Godspeed, Johnny! |

Johnny sure sang some brutally honest songs and I loved him for that. We'll miss him always.

Johnny Cash...born here in Arkansas! We lost a great one today! I have been a fan of his since I was a little girl. I remember in the 8th grade, I was teased because my favorite singer was Johnny Cash. I've got his autograph from when my father saw him at a truck stop while traveling, and I've got his 45 record (okay, I'm showing my age) of his Sun record Hey Porter. I had a feeling that when June Carter passed away back in May that Johnny wasn't going to be with us much longer. I think he just didn't want to be separated from her.
Johnny, you will live in our memories forever! Margarette
