I am waiting for Christmas to open Reel Magic episode 25, but I read on the description a lot of card tricks. I have yet to see if these are good or not, but generally I do not like cards too much. Of course I buy Reel Magic for reasons other than tricks and moves, but I know me and many others would love to see more silk, rope, paper, and stage magic. I was reading a collection of some tricks from Sphinx magazine a few days ago and that is the kind of magic I and many others want to do. Not stage ilusions or card magic, but all sorts of things that can work on stage or parlor or in your living room, not involving cards. Not everybody Likes card magic, and many would agree that other styles of magic would be welcome in Reel Magic magazine. Nonetheless, the other parts of Reel Magic seem great.\

I agree. The problem is their just isn't a lot of that stuff out there. We try I promise you that we try.
Go to a magic convention and you don't see guys doing silk tricks, they are all playing with a deck of cards. This is the problem. We try I promise you that |

Thanks for trying. I think people just focus too much on cards. If magicians can invent hundreds of tricks using little paper rectangles with cards printed on them they should be able to invent tricks with all the other types of magic. Magicians come up with card tricks simply because they spend a lot of time using cards. I've been keeping a golf ball in my pocket and palming it in the past few days and I already came up with a few things that might become sleights. I think the magic community focuses too much on cards. I hope I am not being annoying.
Thank you Henri |

As I said, the tricks are not the only reason I bought Reel Magic. The reason is all the other things. The kid show fundamentals look great. I don't completely hate card magic, and I will probably try learning that Shawn Farquhar trick. Thank you for Reel Magic. |
